Hello friend… Thank you for your interest and desire to be part of my book launch team for my most recent book “Rooted & Resilient: A Minister’s Guide to Thrive”.

Why a Book Launch Matters

A book launch is far more than a publication date.

For me and “Rooted & Resilient: A Minister's Guide to Thrive”, this moment represents a divine assignment to equip, encourage, and empower ministry leaders everywhere. It’s the culmination of my doctoral dissertation, research, years of prayer, study, experience, and calling pressed between two covers and presented to the world.

A well-executed launch creates the initial momentum that determines how wide and how far a book travels. Without intentional strategy, even the most powerful message can go unheard. With a clear plan, the right community, and consistent execution, this book has the potential to become a cornerstone resource for ministers across the country and beyond.

What a Strong Book Launch Accomplishes

✦  Generates early momentum that signals importance to retailers and algorithms

✦  Builds a community of readers who become long-term advocates and referrers

✦  Establishes Dr. Willis and Reclaim Leadership as a leading voice in ministry wellbeing and spiritual leadership

✦  Opens doors for speaking engagements, church partnerships, and conference invitations

✦  Creates media coverage and podcast opportunities that expand reach organically

✦  Positions the book for bestseller list consideration with a coordinated sales strategy

Notice what’s NOT on that list: Make a bunch of money. You need to know proceeds from every sale of a book will be going into the ministry of Reclaim Leadership. If the book makes a “bunch of money”, great! That’s all the more ministry we can pursue. Ultimately, its about the message getting out, not the money coming in.

If you’ve never been part of a book launch before, let me explain what I’ll be asking of you:

  • You will receive an email confirming you as part of the launch team.

  • You’ll be given a link and asked to purchase a copy of the book (in any format you prefer: softback, hardback, ebook, or audiobook).

  • You’ll be asked to join in the daily activities of Launch Week: (The day is TBD)

Day 1 — Launch Day

I will send a launch email to the entire Launch Team and post across all platforms simultaneously. I will activate the Launch Team to post your reviews. I’ll deploy my launch video and announce the book is LIVE. As a launch team member, you’re asked to share what I put out there on your social media platforms too. Be sure to tag @ReclaimLeadership

Day 2 — Story Day

I’ll share the story behind the book; what led me to write it and be posting minister testimonials from ministry of Reclaim Leadership. I’ll be thanking you as a Launch Team member publicly by jumping on the posts you’ve shared on your social media. Today, please share your story of why this book and its author is important to know.

Day 3 — Content Day

I’ll share a powerful excerpt or key insight from the book by going live on Facebook to discuss one core theme from the book. You’re invited to join the discussion with insights, questions, or observations from what you read in the book.

Day 4 — Community Day

Today I will highlight Launch Team members who have posted reviews or shared the book. I’ll be engaging comments and messages on social media personally.

Day 5 — Impact Day

I plan to share testimonies from readers who have already been impacted by the book.

Day 6 — Event Day

I’ll host a virtual or in-person launch event, livestreaming and archiving the event for future sharing. Details will be shared with you to give to your network for us to gather and celebrate!

Day 7 — Momentum Day

I’ll send out launch week results (copies sold, reviews gathered) and share what’s next!
